Time Was Time and Again HornblowerStone series Book 1 edition by Nora Roberts Romance eBooks
I was expecting more of a speculative fiction/sci-fi story. This was more of a straight out romance. The characters were likable, and the writing smooth and polished, as I have come to expect from reading her stories written as J.D. Robb.I now see that this is the inception of at least a two book series. I will try to find more featuring Libby and Caleb.

Time Was Time and Again HornblowerStone series Book 1 edition by Nora Roberts Romance eBooks Reviews
In this Time Travel story, he was born in 2222. She has 60's parents. (Hippies) He crashes his ship in the 20th century. It is interesting as all Nora Robert's books are. The story is interesting, and the people are likeable. As all Nora Robert's stories good. You can never go wrong with one of her books. I enjoyed this book very much

It was so interesting and you wonder if this could actually happen. I'd love to jump start my life 100 years to see what life is at that time
I enjoy these quirky plots. This author is great at weaving such a great story. Would recommend to others. Loved it!
I really did not like this book and that totally surprised me as I normally like Nora Roberts' style. This was so slow I almost stopped in the beginning but I kept thinking that it just had to get better. I skipped quite a few pages and sad to say this book never improved. I would not suggest purchasing this book.
This is book one of two. I have read them both long ago. I liked them enough to purchase the first one for my because it was on sale. I enjoyed the story line. It is a little "out there" but it was fun. It kept my attention and it ended well. I love Nora Roberts books and have read as many as possible. This is a good one.,
Not a normal Nora Roberts type book but very good. It was a mixture of what is now and what is the future.
Before Nora Roberts took the alias of J D Robb to write a futuristic series, she experimented with time travel in a two-book series. This is the first book, in which Cal Hornblower, from the year 2553, accidentally hits a black hole and winds up in Oregon in the present day. Libby Stone helps him out, they fall in love, and the only question is whether he will leave her to return to his own time, take her with him, or stay with her here. Libby is a prototype for later heroines very intelligent, studious, yet somewhat socially inept. I've seen her in several of Roberts' books, under different names and in different situations. This was written back in the 1990s, and by now the author is fluent in adding shadings to the character, so Libby may seem a bit primitive if you're accustomed to more recent books. But considering that the original was written for category romance (I think it was Silhouette), it's done pretty well. Cal is a typical hero, no need to say more. His fascination with "antiquity", like toothpaste, cars and stoves, gives the book quite a bit of charm and lifts it out of the usual contemporary category romance.
I was expecting more of a speculative fiction/sci-fi story. This was more of a straight out romance. The characters were likable, and the writing smooth and polished, as I have come to expect from reading her stories written as J.D. Robb.
I now see that this is the inception of at least a two book series. I will try to find more featuring Libby and Caleb.
